Stratum waterproofed our basement about two and half years ago, installing a drain field of over 100 feet inside the basement and filling eight large cracks in the foundation. They also installed an egress window to bring us up to code (the window is well worth the cost--lots of light and lots of new airflow when opened). The workmanship was impeccable--our basement has been dry as a bone ever since.
Last week, after a serious overnight rain, we noticed a corner of the basement past the end of the drain field that was damp. We called Stratum to have it evaluated, sending photos of the area. Two days later, a crew came and spent five hours extending the drain field another six feet and digging a new connection to our sump pump pit. They covered this area in new concrete. They also filled a new wall crack that had appeared in the same area--the crack was not there when they did the work two years ago. And they found a crack in the sump pump discharge pipe we had not seen and fixed that.
We were not charged for all this work--Stratum told us it was part of their warranty for the previous project. We are stunned that all this work was at their expense, not ours. This indicates the integrity this company possesses--they stand behind their work, in this case years after the original project. Their workmen were efficient, explained all their actions, and were extremely neat--except for the new concrete, we can't tell they were ever there.
Though I hope we will not need them again, I am confident that if we do, they will stand 100% behind their work, respond quickly, and make sure our basement is structurally sound and dry.
We contacted Stratum after being referred by multiple friends and industry professionals to fix the water problem we had in the unfinished basement of our 1940s house. Keven walked us through everything that would need to be done and the scope of the project. With a baby in the house, we were worried about the dust from breaking up the concrete and not being able to use our laundry for the duration of the project. They kept the space so clean during the project and worked around our laundry area so we could still use the machines. The work was completed faster than we expected and the crew was professional and respectful. Waterproofing our basement was a major investment in our home, but the peace of mind every time it rains has been invaluable. Gone are the days of coming home to a river of water coming up through our basement floor during heavy storms, and we are so grateful to Stratum!

We had Stratum come out to fix a crack and they were very thorough in explaining the process. Keith was very nice. His work was spotless. I highly recommend calling them if you have any issues with your basement or foundation.
Great experience! Stratum was the first company that I meet with to add a new egress window in my basement remodel. They set the expectations and educated me on the full scope of what the project would entail. Jacob did a great job explaining each step, and what would be needed and how they would complete the task. The presentation left me comfortable with what needed to be done and they had the experience to do it. The information and comfort that Stratum provided at the initial presentation set the tone for the other two companies I meet with. When needed steps were not discussed, or obstacles to be aware of were not addressed I found my comfort level in the other two presentations starting to decline. Full disclosure, I did pay a little more money for working Stratum, but it was completely worth it for the professionalism, peace of mind, and satisfaction I received throughout my project. I recommend them 100% and plan on using them again for the next stage of the remodel.
The work was done timely and professionally. Communications with their office, as they kept me informed. After the work was complete, they did a good job of cleaning the area. I would recommend them to my friends and family.

Used Stratum for a sump pump system in a 106 year old unique stone home. Matt and his team were happy to answer lots of questions and did great work. I am happy with the final product and trust that I will be taken care of if I have any future needs. I will recommend their company to my friends.
My wife and I decided to hire Statrum for our egress window. Jay at Statrum did a great on guiding us on what to expect, the timelines, and the installation process of the window. I contracted Stratum Structural systems as one of the few companies I had bid out work to install an egress window and well in my basement. The bid process was very informative and straight forward. They described how the install would work down to details of what saw system they'd use. The work was performed over 2 days, and each member of the crew was very kind and helpful explaining what was happening and anything I needed to know about the process or maintenance.
As I said, I had compared Stratum with a few other companies before selection and they were a little higher on the bid comparatively, but based on the professionalism and process they were going to use, I selected them. I even had a small issue which I had emailed Stratum about over the holiday weekend, not expecting to get a call til after, and I actually received a call back a few hours later letting me know that they would have someone come out the day after the holiday, which they did.
So in the end, I am happy with my decision on choosing Stratum, and I can recommend that someone else looking for this type of service consider Stratum as well.
